Cassi Out :: Rachel HoH

The die was cast for Cassi to exit the game when she entered the house week one. Though we heard her humbly try to deny that petty jealousies were the cause of her early exit from the house, the truth was revealed in exit interviews and edited House guests comments. Shelly and Cassi believed they had a week one deal with the veterans that would safely see them through the first part of the game. The increasing animosity between Rachel, Brenden and Porsche toward Cassi had been re-fueled when Cassi calmly stood her ground to them before and after Keith’s eviction. Dani, wanting Domenic’s complete attention, also campaigned for Cassi to go.

Rachel took a shot at Jordan during the POV competition and Jeff told her to cool-it, which led to a predictable melt down for Rachel. Showing no humility or gamesmanship, Rachel tried to hide in the fake shrubbery to pout and cry. Brendon pretended to console her while he scolded her for trying to win the POV that they wanted to lose so Cassi could go up.

Later, Rachel went to goad Cassi and had her hat handed to her and Cassi let Rachel know that she had once admired her, and even defended her against critics, but had come to realize that Rachel was “catty, ugly on the inside and didn’t like pretty girls”. This really disturbed Rachel, so she went to Jordan alone in the HOH room for compassion. Rather than a pat on the back, Jordan lectured her on her “bitchiness” and asked her to be kinder to others. It was classic Jordan, well worth the price of the feeds.

Next up was the voting, Cassi was evicted unanimously, no surprises there. Not even her friend Dom threw her a pity vote. She tried to give everyone hugs, even Rachel, and then she was out the door to meet Julie. Cassi is not only pretty, she’s smart too: Julie’s best efforts couldn’t get a negative comment out of her.

The HoH contest was a tried and true classic, where the competitors had to answer random questions about what a majority of voters on CBS’s website thought about them. After five questions, Rachel and Brendon were the only players left. Two questions later, Rachel won her second HOH of the season. The Veterans remain in control for the third straight week. As Rachel told Julie earlier in the show: “in the end I always get my way”.

Dom & Adam OFF – Cassi & Shelly ON

Domenic and Adam winning Veto put the Duo of Cassi and Shelly in the precarious position of being replacement nominees. Cassi, who is viewed as a  threat because of her relationship with Dom and obvious alliance to the newbies, has not formed solid relationships with the Veterans until recently, while Shelly has secretly aligned herself with them since the first week.  Cassi is the most likely to go home, her only hope is if the house discovers that Shelly was the second wonky vote evicting Keith, and even then the veterans will likely still have the numbers to keep her.

Jordan as HOH has been getting closer to Cassi and agonized over the fact that personally she wants to keep her, but has no choice but to nominate her and Shelly since Dom and Adam won Veto.  Knowing that the second week of play is too early to break her and Jeff’s alliance with Rachel and Brendan she can`t consider the suggestion of backdooring one of them yet, and taking out a weaker player like Lawon or Kalia ìsn`t smart.

Rachel and Cassi have been going back and forth bickering for the past few days, including a confrontation last night in the Have Not room. Now that Cassi is going home Rachel is obviously happy about it, apparently gloating after the Veto Ceremony before the feeds came on, and she blithely joked less than an hour later to Jordan `Thank you for not nominating us even though I was a jerk`.

Shelly, after being put on the block told Cassi that `you can make any deal that you want, I`m not going to hold it against you`, all the while knowing that the chance of Cassi staying is pretty much nil. Cassi, on he other hand refuses to campaign against Shelly because she considers her to be the `best person in the house`, unknowing that Shelly has sold her out multiple times to the Veterans.

Dom & Adam Win Veto

Winning the Veto Competition was Adam and Domenic’s only hope for both of them to stay in the game.  Also playing were Jordan as HOH with Jeff, and Rachel and Brendon, whose chip was drawn.  Going in, Jeff and Jordan wanted to keep the nominations the same. Rachel and Brendan thought that taking Adam and Dom off would be good for their game. Dom wanted to win and take himself off the block and Adam would do his best to THROW the veto to get the golden key.

With Dom and Adam coming off the chopping block, another Duo will have to be nominated. Cassi is the next target on the Vet’s list, however Jordan has been getting buddy-buddy with Cassi since she won HOH. Shelly is in the Vets back pocket and they are sure that they will have the numbers to get her a golden key.

Rachel took a penalty to stay in the game and is eating slop for the next two weeks, though she ultimately lost the veto. No alcohol for her, you know Brenda is happy.

Keith Out :: Jordan HoH

Whenever Big Brother promotes the slogan: Expect the Unexpected us regular feed watchers roll our eyes or shake our heads because we know the live show is predicted by the previous week’s feed watching. We likely know who is leaving and who’s going to throw the upcoming HOH. When Julie, looking pretty in pink, introduced last night’s show and teased us with ‘Both think they have the votes to stay but in a house divided nothing is certain’ she wasn’t kidding.  The first weeks eviction vote was totally unpredictable.

BB Vultures

After watching the first show of the season, I have to say I think this will be a great cast. Along with the usual spitfires Allison Grodner seems to manufacture in a back closet somewhere, we were shown three duos consisting of past players. Evel Dick was in that mix. Declaring himself the only winner, despite the fact that Jordan was standing just a few feet away, he had already set a tone of dominance that would have, no doubt, been challenged many times in the next few months. But it wasn’t meant to be. Dani said she would get rid of him first chance, and whether or not it was her doing, the fact currently is, Dick is Dead. Or course as you know nothing in BB is set in stone. Things change. Players do come back.

Like many, I am happy to see Jeff and Jordan returning to the house. No one can forget the season these two battled between Natalie and her bestie Kevin. J & J provided much fun to a sometimes hostile house of lies and shouting matches. Ronnie, Chima, Lydia, Russell, and Michele were also part of that friction, yet Jeff and Jordan kept cool in the hammock with delightful talks peppered with laughter and romance. All while playing a smart game.

I remember the day when Jordan was counting fingers for mismatched convos Ratboy had conducted, and suddenly a light bulb went off. She really gave it to him that afternoon. She had guts and wasn’t afraid to take a stance. The entire house was unified, and I loved her for that. When she finally won HOH and received a letter from home stating her family had found a place to live, that was a beautiful moment. Despite some erratic, and let’s just say, dumb actions (can we say q-tips in the wall folks?) I think Jordan and Jeff could do really well this summer just as they did in BB 11.

But they need to watch their back, because Rachel and Brendon will rip these two apart like vultures later in the game and the rest of the house will smile and lick the bones clean. That’s just the nature of the game. Something tells me it won’t be long before we see the evil lurking within the newbies.
